RPS Mold & Mildew Deep Stain Remover ^TM was originally developed as a non-toxic additive treatment for ponds, streams and waterfalls, as well as a spray treatment for moss or other forms of fungi. When added to a pond or stream, the algae die within two days without harm to fish, animal or plant life. Similarly, when sprayed on moss the moss dies within two days. Fungal control tends to coat the sides of the pond or the surface of the roof and thereby provides a longer-lasting protection against the return of algae, moss or fungi.

RPS Mold & Mildew Deep Stain Remover ^TM can be applied to structures during and after construction to help prevent mold, mildew or other fungi from forming. It can be sprayed on inner walls and cavities as well as on concrete and block walls, and anywhere moisture might be in danger of forming due to humidity, condensation or other water sources.

Mold and mildew inside of buildings not only poses a major health risk but can cause irreparable damage to the structures themselves. So much so that many insurance companies are actually eliminating mold and mildew coverage from their policies rather than risk the economic effects of honoring such claims.

On tests performed by Atoka Inc to ASTM D 3273 RPS Mold & Mildew Deep Stain Remover ^TM received test ratings of 10 on all tests performed. A rating of 10 indicates 0 mold growth and is the best possible score.

Because mold cannot live without moisture, sources of moisture are a focal point of investigation. During thorough visual inspection (including attic, crawl spaces and basement) examine:

• heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
• moisture barriers for proper installation and condensation occurrence, via a fiber optics scope and existing wall openings, whenever possible
• moisture content of floors, walls and ceilings -- even beneath surfaces
• humidity of indoor air (using a properly calibrated meter)
• water-damaged areas/locate point of water intrusion

Mold remediation contractors base their decontamination and disposal recommendations on the following:

• the species of mold discovered
• the size of the infestation
• heating/ventilation/air conditioning contamination
• the sensitivity of occupants (allergies or asthma)
